How to Turn Off the Left & Right Columns in Zen Cart

In the Zen Cart admin go to Configuration -> Layout Settings (18th line).

To turn off the left or right column completely, go to Column Left Status - Global (13th line) or Column Right Status - Global (14th line). Select "0", Column in always off. Click Update. Screenshot below.

How to Modify the Width of the Left & Right Columns in Zen Cart

You may find that you need to make the left or right column in Zen Cart wider to suit your layout and design.

Go to Configuration -> Layout Settings (18th line).

The first two lines, Column Width - Left Boxes & Column Width - Right Boxes, are for the width of the actual boxes. Click on each and enter your new pixel width. 150px is the Zen Cart default, increase the number to widen, decrease the number to narrow. Click update to make your changes.

Now that your BOXES are wider, you must also make the COLUMNS wider. Go to Column Width - Left (14th line) or Column Width - Right (15th line) and enter new widths for the columns. The column width should be at least as wide as the box width. When you have made your changes, click update.

Check your layout in your web site to see the changes. Repeat above steps to make any additional changes.
